Members

The NHS welcomes new members, and we invite you to join. You also also welcome to attend the meetings if you are not a member, but it is nice for us to know who you are.

We have regular meetings with interesting presentations for a general audience with an interest in wildlife, wildflowers, parks, conservation, etc. We also have occasional outdoor hikes, bird-watching sessions, fish-watching sessions, etc. Children are always welcome.

Joining is easy, and click here for the form that you can fill out to become a member and to let us know who you are. Pass it to any member of the NHS executive.

MEMBERSHIP DUES REMINDER:   Are you a member? Please review and renew your membership as soon as possible! Not sure when your membership expires? Please check the membership expiry date located on the address label of The Osprey. We hope to hear from you soon!

For further information, contact Carolyn Walsh, Membership Co-ordinator, at or by phone, at 737-4738 (daytime).

What do we do with the membership fees? Firstly, none of us is paid for work on the executive — we are all volunteers. Secondly, we do support the Wild Things scholarship and the Tuck award. Thirdly, we do help out, for instance on a data projector for the MUN Botanical Gardens (where we have our regular meetings).

Helping out is also easy: volunteer yourself at the annual elections, which are held on the third thursday in March each year.
